Hey Dave, where do your NHL allegiances lie?

The Calgary Flames. I lived in Calgary for 10 years. I didn’t have a team before I went there and then I just inherited the flaming C. 

Who is your favourite player?

Mark Giordano,. He is just a well rounded player, great leader, does whatever he has to do to get the job done.

What got you into hockey?

Well my brother started in Melbourne when I was little and then I just copied him!

Biggest practical joker in the team?

Hmm, I’d say Hamish Powell. He is just rather immature, always playing a joke or knocking on the back of your seat.

If you had the chance to spend the day with anyone dead or alive who would it be?

Conor McGregor!

Favourite city to visit and/or play?

It would have to be a tie between Melbourne, my family is there, it's right down town and there are some great spots to go and have some fun after the game and it's a great facility, and then Adelaide too. Always a good game with Adelaide and again great city to go out and have some fun in.

When you're not playing hockey what do you like to do?

Coach hockey, watch hockey and hang out with my wife and dog.

Favourite hockey movie or series?

Either Miracle or Mystery Alaska depending on the day.

Weapon of choice in a zombie apocalypse?

I’m a huge realist so I don’t really think about these things. A gun.

Pump up song of choice?

I’ve been trying to get the guys to play the Golden Girls theme song on the stereo, I really like that one! But no I’m not really in touch with music, I’m more of a podcast type person. So whatever Wetini has on the stereo. I’m always asking people “who put this song on?” cause it’s all new to me. He has some good ones though!

Pre-game rituals or superstitutions?

I’m not superstitious. Actually, no, I’m superstitious to the fact that I’m not superstitious. So whatever goes. But I do like playing some two touch. It’s going to be a good game if we play some two touch.

Favourite comic book hero?

Calvin and Hobbs, the lazy Sundays!

What would you say or do to get someone into hockey?

First of all a free ticket and it's fast, physical. I’d just guarantee them that they will enjoy themselves.
