The Newcastle Rescue Northstars are on the road for most of August. 

This weekend - August 3 and 4 - the Northstars are off to Western Australia to face Perth Thunder in a double header. 

After four consecutive losses - two to league leaders CBR Brave, the Sydney Ice Dogs and Sydney Bears - and eight points away from clinching their 2019 AIHL Finals spot, the Northstars will be hunting for two wins in Perth this weekend.

Saturday's Perth Thunder v Newcastle Northstars game is the AIHL Fox Sports game of the week. It will not be live streamed. 

Sunday's game will be streamed to Perth Thunder's Facebook page.

Following their Perth double header road trip the Northstars will face Sydney Ice Dogs at Macquarie Ice Rink on August 11 and CBR Brave in Canberra on August 17. 

The Northstars play their final two games of the regular season at Hunter Ice Skating Stadium on August 24 and 25 against Melbourne Mustangs and Adelaide Adrenaline.  

The Northstars are inviting fans, sponsors, supporters - everyone - who attends the Sunday, August 25 game to join the team on the ice afterwards for the annual end of season photo.
